Permanent Make-up After Care Instructions

It is really important following your procedure to achieve the best results to stick to our
  guidelines as best you can.

Keep in mind that in many cases,  some unevenness of color is to be expected,   This is the
purpose of the touch-up visit. The perfection touch-up is big, because everyone is
different, so can the healing  process be very different ....
The following will cut down the odds of reinventing the wheel, So be patient and enjoy the journey.

  It will be worth it!
Expect treated areas to be a little swollen, tender, wider, and darker for the next few days.
Eyeliner may or may not be puffy for a day or two, rarely is there any bruising at the corners, but if there
is that too will subside quickly,  this usually occurs when the client is clenching her eyes thru the
procedure, it is best to be as relaxed as possible, the body is a very forgiving place if you are.

In most cases the process is fast and easy.

On the first day you may want to use a cold damp compress that you have placed in the refrigerator
for 15-20 minutes and lay lightly over the new  brows or eyeliner, for about 10-15 minutes as needed.

Gently clean the newly tattooed areas, at night and morning with just warm water, that will help
take the excess blood and ink off them, especially the first day or two, do not rub, pat clean!
No soaps, creams, or makeup to be used until completely healed.
Advil or Benadryl may also be taken if needed. Make sure you are not allergic.
Keep the area of pigmentation lightly moist with a product such as Aquaphor, Vaseline, (Petroleum jelly),
Aquaphor is preferred, you can find that at any Walmart or Walgreens. ( I suggest leaving it dry to heal
   whenever possibe)

When using one of these products don’t apply so it is obvious, put it thinly on for a few minutes,
and then wipe off the residue, leaving a very very thin coat,  shine should not be obvious.
If you smother them they will not get air and heal properly.

To apply you can use your clean finger tip or a cotton swab for eyeliner or brows ...Take EXCESS OFF:)
Place it on your eyeliner,  Top and bottom, if you don't feel you need it don't!  Use your best judgement.

Brows will be darker in the beginning and wider, don't worry they take longer to heal then liner and
shorter then lips, but they too need time to adjust, releasing  the blood, and then a couple of days of
light scabbing, and what is left is a lighter smaller rendition of what we started with,  you will not
know the true picture until they have completely healed, and then we will see if there is any fine
tuning to do in the next 3 months.

The good news is that it is a game changer, the vitality to your face will
  be noticeable.

Do not force healing by scratching or abrasive washing. The pigment could be removed along with the crust.
Be careful with your tattoo and let it exfoliate its upper layer on its own.

Some itching is normal, AGAIN DO NOT PICK, PEEL, OR SCRATCH the treated area or your color may
  heal unevenly.

Lips...Everyone understands the value of color in your lips...
Right after procedure lips will be fuller and darker, swelling will last 24-48 hours, I know you wish
they would stay that way but,,  your half way there! It is customary for a follow up!
Lips should remain sealed for 4 weeks, they will feel comfortable but dry, they go through the
exfoliating process the fastest, they will exfoliate there dark color in 3-5 days as the eyeliner
and brows can take up to about 7 days.

Do not expose any of the area's while healing, to dirty or unsanitary conditions. No steam rooms,
heavy exercising,  cleaning out the barns,, etc. for the first 48 hours,,,

Since Lips have a tendency to loose the most color 30-50% sometimes,  it is always nice to know
you have not overdone anything the first time, if a color depth or change is needed it can be adjusted
  in the perfection touch up.
My favorite chap stick for lips is Nivea silky chap stick, love this, use it on your lips as often as needed,
it will take a couple of weeks to fully heal and to see what color has eventually come to the top,,
There is very little discomfort with this procedure...

After your eyeliner is tattooed , you may resume wearing your contact lenses as soon as your
eyes return to their pre-tattooed condition, approximately 24 hrs.
No make-up is to be applied on or to close to new tattoo until it is healed. Old or used make-up can
be loaded with bacteria which could cause infection. After eyeliner is healed it is advised to start with brand
new mascara.  Always make sure the eye is clear of any floating specs of dry ink or mascara, rinse eye
   clean if this occurs.

Do not expose your healing skin to direct sun, tanning beds, hot tubs, saunas,
salt water, chlorinated pools, direct shower spray, skin creams, ointments or lotions other than your
sealant for 1 week following your procedure.

If you are having your lips tattooed and you are prone to cold sores, you must be on Valtrex or Zovorax
5 days before your procedure and 5 days after your procedure. You do not want to break out in cold sores
while you are healing this will cause the color to be eaten up with the color....messy !!
The color will come and go as the collagen fibers come to heal the lips and the natural exfoliating
process has occurred. It is normal not to see how much color was achieved until 4 weeks have passed.
